Did you know that Fort Worth has a way for residents to help foster healthy neighborhoods? Introducing Code Rangers.
In partnership with the Code Compliance Department, Code Rangers are trained volunteers who report suspected code violations, allowing the city to respond quickly and proactively. Think hall monitors, but for all of Fort Worth. When a Code Ranger reports a potential violation, the city reacts by sending a courtesy letter to property owners or residents to inform them of the suspected issue.
Code Rangers must attend a training course at the Hazel Harvey Peace Center for Neighborhoods.
Fill out your name, address, and contact information.
Attend an upcoming course on Saturday, Aug. 16 or Saturday, Oct. 11.
You must be at least 18 years old and live within Fort Worth city limits.

For three consecutive years now, the Fort Worth Zoo has successfully hatched a critically endangered species of crocodile, known as the gharial crocodile. That makes the Zoo the only institution in North America to produce multiple offspring and repeat the process in consecutive years.
Gharial hatchlings are ~12 inches long, but can grow up to ~16 ft and weigh nearly 1,500 lbs. The Zoo will continue to nurture these babies behind the scenes, but it plans to eventually allow visitors to observe them in their habitat.
The gharial is one of the largest crocodilian species — known for its long and thin snout.
