Summer is right around the corner, and we feel the heat coming. The season will likely be hotter than normal, but if you’re wondering just how hot Cowtown can get, we’ve got answers.
The day the heat set records
Fort Worth’s hottest days on record took place on June 26 + June 27, 1980, when temperatures hit 113°.
So far, Cowtown hasn’t had a 100° day in 2025 — though we were sweating a little earlier this month. Forecasts anticipated hitting triple digits, but temps stalled in the mid-90s.
100° records
While we haven’t had a 100° day this year, that’s not unusual. Generally, the first triple-digit day arrives around July 1 in Fort Worth, and the last one is around August 27. Here are some more scorching hot Cowtown facts:

Fort Worth City Council has adopted the East Berry Street Corridor Plan — a ~6-mile project that aims to create a mixed-use corridor from Interstate 35 to Lake Arlington and enhance safety and usability. Before construction begins, the city must adopt coding and zoning amendments, scheduled for later this year.
