This Friday, March 21, led by head coach Mark Campbell, the TCU Horned Frogs will tip off against the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on our home court. TCU will also host the second round on Sunday, March 23 between the round one winner and either No. 7 Louisville or No. 10 Nebraska.

On March 9, the Horned Frogs secured the win over the Baylor Bears in the Big 12 Championship, guaranteeing a bid to the NCAA Tournament.

15 years

That’s how long it’s been since the TCU women’s basketball team has played in the NCAA Tournament. From 2001 to 2010, led by head coach Jeff Mittie, the team reached the NCAA tournament nine times. If it hadn’t been for 2008, the Frogs could’ve earned a 10-year streak.

Out of those nine tournament games, the team made it into the second round five times, but never into the Sweet 16.
