🎭 Broadway comes to downtown

We are not throwing away our shot to experience “Hamilton,” “Life of Pi,” and more at Bass Performance Hall.

Bass Performance Hall unveiled its 2025-2026 Broadway at the Bass season with 14 must-see shows running this fall to next summer.

Current season ticket holders can renew their seats by Monday, March 31 + new season tickets will be available for purchase starting Thursday, May 1. Stay tuned for individual ticket sales.

Life of Pi” | Sept. 23-28, 2025 | Kicking off the season is the Tony and Oliver Award-winning epic tale of an adventure based on the best-selling novel by Yann Martel — which sold 15+ million copies.

Back To The Future: The Musical” | March 24-29, 2026 | Great Scott — can Marty McFly correct history after he gets transported via time machine back to 1955?

The Notebook” | June 23-28, 2026 | If it’s anything like the 2004 film, you’ll need tissues to watch and listen as forces threaten to tear apart a lifetime of love between Allie and Noah.

Civic

New City Hall debuted a slew of fresh upgrades for its Council Chambers. The upgrades include large LED media walls, HD camera systems, improved remote participation capabilities, and advanced audio controls. The first official meeting at the new City Hall is Tuesday, March 25. Sneak a peek at the changes underway.

Edu

Fort Worth ISD named Karen Molinar as the lone finalist for its new superintendent. Since 1997, Molinar has worked for the ISD and has served as interim superintendent since October. Due to a state mandate, in 21 days we’ll know whether the ISD will appoint its lone finalist. Stay tuned. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

Crave Hot Dogs & BBQ is expanding to a Burleson Walmart. The Long Island-based franchise and Walmart partner which serves barbecue, sandwiches, sliders, hot dogs, and bratwurst also has plans to expand to Fort Worth which will be announced at a later date. (CultureMap Fort Worth)
Taste Community — which was featured by TikToker Keith Lee in 2024 — is opening a second location in Tarrant County. The “pay-what-you-can” restaurant will open in Arlington on Wednesday, March 5. Until then, you can visit the South Main location which has served 250,000+ meals since 2017. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

Meacham International Airport turns 100 this year and is celebrating with Hops and Props 2025. The family-friendly event in partnership with the Fort Worth Aviation Museum will feature food, craft brews, and live music. Ahead of the party on Saturday, April 26, learn more about the airport’s history.

Chef Tim Love is celebrating 25 years of Lonesome Dove and is inviting you. Join him for a 25-course meal from Friday, May 2 to Tuesday, May 6. He’ll offer taste selections in five sections: sea, air, land, beef + sweet. Tickets are $250 per person. (Paper City Magazine)

SpringHill Suites by Marriott is coming to South Main and Vickery. Plans for the five-story, 156-room hotel have been filed. The hotel will be within walking distance of restaurants like Coco Shrimp and Tinies + downtown and the T&P railway station. No groundbreaking date has been set. (Fort Worth Report)

Film

Texas Film Commission has approved Fort Worth as a Media Production Development Zone (MPDZ). In 2018, an area in Near Southside was established as an MPDZ but has since expired. This new MPDZ spans across city limits and will help create jobs and strengthen the local economy.
