Sports

If you bought tickets to see Luka Dončić play ahead of his surprise trade to the Lakers, then you may be entitled to compensation. The Dallas Mavericks are offering refunds to season ticket holders after complaints of soaring ticket prices. (NBC 5)

Opening

Kura Revolving Sushi is making its Cowtown debut on North Tarrant Pkwy. Kura is the largest revolving sushi chain in the US. Its soft opening starts today with its grand opening on Thursday, Feb. 13. (CultureMap Fort Worth)

Closed

The dessert shop Jars by Fabio Viviani has closed after one year on Hulen. Viviani, an Italian chef who appeared on Food Network’s “Top Chef,” conceptualized the chain in 2021. Husband-and-wife duo Jason and Tejal Wible brought two franchises to DFW, but have closed both their doors now. (CultureMap Fort Worth)

Outdoors

Keller City Council has approved six improvements along Little Elm Road to promote vibrancy and pedestrian-friendly initiatives. Plans include adding new streetlights, sidewalks, and street parking, widening the road + drainage improvements. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

Development

The wait is over for thrill-seekers. After Six Flags teased a “record-breaking” ride last year, it announced the new structure will be 309 ft high — which replaces The Titan as the park’s tallest roller coaster. The new ride will stand where the La Vibora ride stood last year. (WFAA)

Biz

Google has changed its mind about moving into the 1 million-sqft industrial building in Northlake. Google signed up for the space last year to support its data center operations. The building now adds to the approximate 7 million sqft of vacant space in the area. (WFAA)

History

Nearly three months after the closing of Haltom’s Jewelers, we have answers to the fate of its iconic clock. Owners Jack and Ladye Ann Miller will donate it to Streams & Valleys, a nonprofit that manages the Trinity River trails. The Millers have yet to decide the best location for the 1918 timepiece. Three Fort Worth hospitals have been listed on Healthgrades America’s 250 Best Hospitals in Texas of 2025. They are Texas Health, Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center, and Texas Health H-E-B located in Bedford. (Healthgrades)

    The two most anticipated events are Burgers, Blues + Brews, with 58.3% of votes, and Tacos + Tequila, with 41.7%. In third place, is Rise + Dine with 25%. In fourth and last place, it’s a tie between the Main Event and Ring of Fire with 8.3%.
