The University of Texas system — including UTA — has made the decision to increase funding for the Promise Plus scholarship program. This funding increase means that students whose families HAVE an annual household income of $100,000 or less + meet certain eligibility requirements will not be charged tuition or mandatory fees.

The Museum of Science and History’s new Jane & John Justin Foundation Omni Theater will officially open on Saturday, Dec. 14. If you missed the museum’s opening date announcement (which pokes fun at its own vague “fall 2024" opening), give it a watch.

Over the weekend, TxDOT planned to begin demolition on the Fort Worth pedestrian bridge between Lancaster Avenue and Meadowbrook Drive. The demolition is part of TxDOT’s Southeast Connector project, which is set to add dedicated pedestrian access at every street that crosses over or under I-820. (Fort Worth Report)

Will Rogers Memorial Center recently welcomed a new executive chef to oversee menus for trade shows and other events.
