Haltom’s Jewelers — founded here in Fort Worth in 1893 by G.W. Haltom — announced that the business is officially closing.
For over 130 years, the store has been a family-owned Cowtown institution — particularly at its Sundance Square location in the Knights of Pythias building.
The closure
All three of the store’s locations (Sundance Square, Ridglea, and Grapevine) will close, though Haltom’s has not yet released an official closing date.
When the FTWtoday team called to confirm a closing date, we were met with a message saying that the business will be closed through Monday, Nov. 11 to prepare for its going out of business sale — “the largest sale event in our history.”
The sale
All locations are set to host simultaneous grand closing sales of up to 70% off.
“We’re opening the vaults and offering unique pieces that even our loyal customers have never seen. Everything must be sold quickly, so we are putting forth our best discounts,” owner Jack Miller said.
