🥧 Pie’s the limit

The holidays are almost here, and it’s time for harvest season treats — particularly a Texas favorite: pecan pie. Who doesn’t love a warm, nutty, caramelly dessert with a buttery crust and a gooey center? We’ve rounded up eight local spots to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth and holiday menu.

Emporium Pies | There’s a reason it’s called the “Lord of the Pies” — this delectable creation has ten apples, homemade caramel, and crispy cinnamon streusel.

Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop | Try flavors like southern custard, granny’s apple, chocolate, key lime, peanut butter, coconut, pecan, and chewy chocolate chip in full size or mini pies.

Sweet Lucy’s Pies | Snag a slice of classic pumpkin, cranberry cheesecake, sour cream apple pie, or pecan with TX Whiskey filling.

Unrefined Bakery | Give dietary restrictions the boot with baked goods that are corn-, dairy-, egg-, gluten-, and grain-free. Choose from pecan, pumpkin, winterberry, dark chocolate silk, and coconut custard pies.

A representative of Trinity Metro confirmed that the transit agency purchased the T&P Tavern dining room and concourse patio and hopes to combine the space with the 5,400-sqft ballroom for a single tenant. The Zigzag Moderne waiting room could be an anchor restaurant and events center on the south side of downtown.
