The schedule has been unveiled for the 2024-2025 Cliburn Concerts. With two Cliburn medalists and globally recognized composers and performers, the series will include 10 concerts from Sept. 19 to April 22, 2025. Subscriptions are now on sale, and single-ticket sales will open on Thursday, May 16.

Ice cream and rubber duckies, what’s not to love? Local ice cream truck Duck Duck Scoop is opening a permanent location at 5801 Golden Triangle Blvd., Ste. 106. Closing
Far Southwest staple Tastebuds Eatery is closing the doors on its homestyle restaurant at the end of May. The 33-year-old restaurant — famous for cake, cobbler, and lunches — will wind down dining room service next month + transition to catering-only service in June.
Environment
$250 million. That’s how much money a collection of Texas cities and counties will receive from an Environmental Protection Agency grant for solar resources. Tarrant County teamed up with Harris, Dallas, and Travis counties, and the City of San Antonio to apply for the $7 billion Solar for All program.
Fort Worthian
Philip Williamson is taking up the reins as the new chairman of the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, while Ed Bass is stepping out of the saddle after 23 years. Williamson, who has served as a board member since 2000, was elected chairman earlier this week. Bass will stay on as chairman emeritus. (Fort Worth Report)
