Whether you’re looking for a place to play with the kiddos or to decompress with some off-screen time, Fort Worth features nearly 300 parks and recreational spots for you to enjoy.
Ready to plan your trip to the park? Grab your shades and trusty water bottle — here are some of Cowtown’s best:
Airfield Falls Trailhead & Conservation Park, 200 Pumphrey Dr., Westworth Village Located just east of the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, the park features a large installation with pieces from a McDonnell Douglas C-9 aircraft. Plus, it is home to Tarrant County’s largest natural waterfall.
Arcadia Trail Park, 7613 Arcadia Trl. Hike and bike 1.25 miles of trails or get your sweat on at the tennis, pickleball, basketball, and volleyball courts or soccer field.
Dickies Skate Plaza, 1616 Hemphill St. The newly opened skating area at Fire Station Park features obstacles for all skill levels and a pump track.
North Park, 9000 N. Beach St. The 61.5-acre park includes outdoor basketball courts, picnic areas, and a castle-like playground with shaded play structures over a bouncy, blue surface.
Fire Station Dog Park, 1601 Lipscomb St. Let your furry friend run free in this new dog park in the Fairmount neighborhood. The small dog area is great for pups under 40 lbs. + dogs must be secured on a leash when entering and exiting the fenced area.
But wait, there’s more — there are plenty more Fort Worth spots perfect for an outdoor adventure, afternoon with the kiddos and pups, or pick-up basketball game with your friends.

We’ve said it before, but there’s truly no place like Walsh. This planned community features more than luxe amenities + dreamy floor plans — it offers Fort Worthians a new way to live. Not convinced? Here are a few of our favorite things about Walsh:
Convenience at your fingertips
The Village Market offers curated convenience for residents. Parents can stock up on grab-and-go food and fresh pastries, along with a selection of 65+ wines hand selected by the in-house sommelier.
It’s also a bustling afterschool locale for Walsh Elementary students (yes, there’s even a school within the community). Need a last-minute dinner? Pick up some prime ribeyes or New York strips from The Meat Board.
Spark creativity
Calling all crafters: The Walsh Makerspace is also a well-loved — and free — amenity available to residents. Find a new hobby using their woodworking tools, 3D printers, and more.
