The Texas Rangers — aka our World Series champs — set an MLB record with 11 straight road wins. That’s the most road wins any team has ever had in a single postseason. For context, the Rangers are the 13th team to play at least 11 games on the road in a single postseason. (MLB)

That’s not all the history that was made — shortstop Corey Seager was named World Series MVP for the second time in his career. He was also MVP of the 2020 World Series as a member of the LA Dodgers. He’s just the fourth player ever to win two World Series MVP awards. (MLB)

A new plant-based eatery called Vice Burger is open on Magnolia Avenue. The restaurant made its debut during ArtsGoggle and officially opened on November 1. It’s almost time to set the clocks back. Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, Nov. 5. Many states, including Texas, have made moves to address time change, but for now look forward to that extra hour of sleep.
Southwest Airlines could expand from Dallas Love Field to DFW Airport by 2025. During the Skift Aviation Forum on Wednesday, Southwest CEO Bob Jordan said the Dallas-based airline currently operates out of 18 of the airport’s 20 gates. The carrier said it would like to operate out DFW’s future Terminal F. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

Out of nearly 10,000 hotels in Texas, Hotel Drover is now the only independent hotel recognized with a Great Place To Work Certification. Based on the Trust Index survey by the Great Place to Work Institute, 81% of team members rated the resort an outstanding workplace.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is celebrating Texas State Parks Day this Sunday with free admission to all state parks. Parkland Passports are also available to veterans for unlimited free entry to all 89 Texas State Parks. Find a park near you.

Billy Bob’s Texas is kicking off the holiday season with a clothing drive to support the Northside Inter-Community Agency. During the month of November, people who bring in new or gently used clothing items will receive free daytime admission.

What to know: Texas Rangers World Series Parade in Arlington

The Texas Rangers and the city of Arlington will celebrate the team’s first World Series win with a parade in the Entertainment District today at 12:15 p.m.
⚾ Where will the parade be?
The 1.9-mile-long procession will start at the southwest corner of Globe Life Field, move clockwise around Choctaw Stadium, and end back at the ballpark.
There will also be a parade viewing area with video screens south of Globe Life Field.
A ceremony honoring the team will be held around 1:15 p.m. on the North Plaza — near Texas Live.
🚗 Where do I park?
Parking in the Rangers and Dallas Cowboys lots will be free and open at 8 a.m. Some private lots may charge.
I’ll see you on the flip side, Fort Worth. I’ll be out of the office next week visiting my brother in New York City and celebrating his recent engagement.
