Closing
Popular Arlington breakfast cafe Skillet N Grill was purchased by Fort Worth’s Dixie House Cafe and will close on Sunday, Oct. 1. The restaurant has been serving customers for over 30 years and will reopen mid-October as the fourth Dixie House Cafe.

Last week, Fort Worth ISD adopted its lowest property tax rate in 16 years. The new tax rate — set at $1.0624 per $100 valuation, compared to $1.2816 last academic year — is not expected to affect day-to-day operations but could change its debt management. (Fort Worth Report)
