Take a look at the best bathrooms contenders (and the snubs)

If you have to go, you might as well do it in style. Cintas’ annual America’s Best Restroom contest is back. Cast your vote for the best bathroom in the country by Friday, Aug. 11.

It looks like we got the snub in the national competition (none of the finalists are even from Texas), but we won’t let our city’s best bathrooms go to waste. Here are the Fort Worth businesses flushed with great restrooms.

The contenders

Truck Yard, Alliance
Both the women’s and men’s bathrooms are hangout spots of their own. The two women’s bathrooms feature Beyoncé-covered stalls and wall art, while the other is decked out with Dolly Parton memorabilia, pink walls, and wigs. The men’s restroom is a hilarious take on the “National Lampoon” films.

Second Rodeo Brewing, Stockyards
George Costanza, Martha Stewart, Burt Reynolds, and Joey Tribbiani — what more could we ask for during a bathroom break? The sitcom-themed restrooms are a hilarious take on some of the most popular TV shows with artwork from “Friends” and “Seinfeld.” It isn’t a trip to the bar without a stop at the bathroom.

White marble tiles and countertops, gold accents, pink doors, and stunning wallpaper — it’s the perfect place for a bathroom selfie with your gal pals. The wallpaper is giving us serious inspiration for our future homes.

But who will take the porcelain throne? Vote for your favorite Fort Worth bathroom using the button below.

We love any excuse to indulge in a sweet treat, especially for a holiday like National S’mores Day tomorrow, August 10.

Although a campfire in this Texas heat sounds unbearable, we’ve uncovered some sweet spots for you to enjoy the childhood classic in Fort Worth.

Here are four treats that will have you asking for s’more.

Leo’s Churro Bar | Grab a S’mores Churro Sundae from this South Main Street dessert shop topped with vanilla ice cream, marshmallow drizzle, and chocolate chunks.

Planted Bakery | Sink your teeth into a decadent chocolate cake made with a marshmallow cream center, and vanilla buttercream, topped with graham cracker crumbs, toasted marshmallows, and melted chocolate.

Pacific Table | There’s always room for dessert — end your meal with a decadent Chocolate S’mores Pot De Crème made with chocolate, graham cracker crumbles, and flame-torched marshmallow fluff.

Creamistry | Cool off with a chocolate ice cream topped with graham cracker pieces, marshmallow cream, chocolate fudge, and whipped cream for the ultimate s’mores concoction.

Let’s be real, there’s no wrong way to roast a marshmallow, but if it were up to me — I would always burn it. I’m talking completely charred on the outside and ooey gooey on the inside.

It seems cruel to have this national holiday in the dead of summer, but until bonfire season, I’ll be staying cool with these s’mores treats around Cowtown.
