One of the best things about Fort Worth is that we get to enjoy the outdoors mostly year-round, which means it’s almost always rooftop season.
There’s simply no better way to take in the views of the city than on top of a building with the wind blowing in your hair and a cold beverage in your hand.
Maybe that’s why we can’t stop going back to these eight local spots for food + drinks.
Step away from the hustle and bustle of the Stockyards and head up to the 6th floor of the SpringHill Suites by Marriott for Barcelona vibes and delicious tapas. Sit in a comfy lounge chair or at the open bar + kitchen to enjoy delicious cocktails, and dishes like salami flatbread, Ibérico ham, and grilled fish.

Game day or not, this rooftop sports bar is the perfect place to hang out with friends. Enjoy happy hour daily from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the open-air terrace with TCU-inspired cocktails and shareable plates. The best part — you can reserve the Topgolf Swing Suite simulator for a virtual round of golf, football, or baseball.
Located in the heart of Sundance Square at The Sinclair, this is the highest rooftop bar in Fort Worth with amazing panoramas over the city. The seasonal bar is open during the warmer months (except for hotel guests who can visit year-round) and features menu items like small plates, fresh oysters, specialty cocktails, and desserts.

Where can you get the best margarita in Fort Worth?
Taco Heads clinched 58% of the votes to become FTWtoday’s reader’s favorite margarita. | Graphic by FTWtoday
The votes are in. After a close battle, Taco Heads clinched 58% of the votes over Joe T. Garcia’s to be named the best margarita in Fort Worth by our readers.
In 2016, Sarah Castillo expanded Taco Heads from a food truck to its first brick-and-mortar in the Cultural District with specialty tacos like beer-braised carnitas, charred avocado and corn, and roasted chipotle brisket. The menu also features a delicious array of sides including elotes, queso, bourbon black beans — and of course, margaritas.
Even more reason to stop by — this summer the restaurant is carrying a special margarita sorbet from MELT Ice Creams + La Pulga Spirits made with fresh lime juice, tequila, and a touch of orange liqueur.
Check it out in the Stockyards at 2349 N. Main St. or at 1812 Montgomery St.
Congrats, Taco Heads, and cheers to a wonderful Drink Up Month.
