Did you know you can submit issues you see around the city on your phone?

We receive emails and comments from readers daily asking how to report issues. These range from traffic-related incidents to how taxpayer money should be spent and horse manure on trails.

Next time you want your voice to be heard, use these resources provided by the City of Fort Worth to alert the appropriate team.

Go mobile

If you have a smartphone, you can download the MyFW app — It’s free from the App Store or Google Play. Residents can share the exact location of the issue, submit a photo, and write a brief description of what the problem is. Once a city work team has reviewed the issue, a notification will be sent when the work is complete.

Chat online

Go online and chat with a live person from the City Call Center Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-6 p.m. and on Saturday from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Residents can talk about a number of services ranging from Animal Care and Control to traffic issues.

Here’s how it works: navigate to the Customer Care page then click on the blue graphic in the bottom right-hand corner that reads, “Have questions? Let’s chat!” From there, you’ll be prompted to answer a few questions before getting into your main concerns.

Send a text message

To initiate a report, text “Hello” to 817-835-6939 and wait for an automated message to be sent back — this should only take a few seconds. From there, submit a one- or two-word response about the issue like “a pothole,” “high grass,” or “graffiti.” Another automated message will be sent to clarify details including how wide the pothole is, where the graffiti is located, etc.

Residents can also text “MESSAGE” to the same number to chat live with a call center representative.

Make a call

Go old school and contact the call center at 817-392-1234 or email the city at 1234@FortWorthTexas.Gov.
