Event search tools

First, head to our Events page.

Then, start scrolling to see what events are coming up, or use these key features to filter events more specifically:

Magnifying glass icon: Search keywords to find event categories or search events by name.
“All Events” drop-down (desktop): Search for virtual events or “Editor’s Picks.”
  • What’s an Editor’s Pick, you ask? Those are events that our team has personally curated for our audience. Aka: fun, noteworthy, or important going-ons in the community.
Descending list icon (desktop): Choose how you want events for each day to be ordered — by time, popularity, or alphabetically.
Bullet list icon: Change the format from lists to thumbnails.
Additional tools: Select date, location, and/or radius.

Add your own event

You can add your own events to our community calendar. Here’s how:

“Add Event” calendar button: Click or tap this button, create a login, and input your event information. We need the name, date(s), time(s), location, price, and a brief description.

  • The Fort Worth ISD school board unanimously approved superintendent Angélica Ramsey’s plan to reduce the district’s administration costs with a “reduction in force.” Approximately 150-200 assistant superintendents, executive directors, and department chiefs will be cut in the coming weeks. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

  • Don Artemio Mexican Heritage made the final round of the James Beard Awards best new restaurant category. The Cultural District eatery run by chef Juan Ramón Cárdenas opened last March. The winner will be announced in Chicago in June. Book at table.

  • According to ESPN sources, Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki is among the six finalists nominated for the 2023 class of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. The official announcement is expected this weekend during the NCAA Final Four.
Open
  • Quince, the “world’s best rooftop,” is open in WestBend. The restaurant, which originated in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, announced it was coming to Cowtown in 2021. The patio is still under construction, but the dining room is now serving ceviche and sushi. Make a reservation and check out other new and upcoming restaurants.

  • $64,742. That is the annual salary (after taxes) a single adult needs to live comfortably in DFW, according to a new report from SmartAsset. The report used the MIT Living Wage Calculator and a 50/30/20 ratio of needs, wants, and savings to determine the cost of living for a single working adult with no children.

  • Some new snacks are headed to the plate for Rangers Opening day today. Globe Life Field unveiled new concession offerings that range from Hurtado Barbecue brisket elotes to a pizza-topped hot dog. Make sure you grab your Rangers gear before the game at 3 p.m.

  • Lace up those pointe shoes — Texas Ballet Theater released its 2023-2024 season, featuring classic performances and contemporary pieces. The season will kick off with “Dracula” in October and include “The Nutcracker,” “Brilliants,” and “Beauty and the Beast.” Season packages are available now.

  • The Arbor Day Foundation recognized TCU for the seventh year in a row. The university was named a Tree Campus Higher Education Institution for its commitment to caring for trees and grounds that reduce energy use, absorb carbon dioxide, encourage physical activity, and promote environmental wellness.

  • We live for others instead of ourselves, and we live for each other.” That’s the key to George Crittenden’s 72-year marriage to his wife Edith. The couple won the Fort Worth Report’s “Love is in the Air” photo contest and shared the story of their lifelong partnership and involvement in the Cowtown community since the 1950s.
