What’s better than a weekend full of good food, drinks, and company? A festival that includes all three. The Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival (FWFWF) returns to Cowtown for four delicious days and nights from Thursday, March 30 to Sunday, April 2.

Old Texas Brewing Companyopened its doors over the weekend at 6333 Camp Bowie Blvd. — in the former Baker Street Pub & Grill location. The Burleson-based brewpub offers a full menu with barbecue, burgers, seafood, and beer. 🍻

The second annual “It’s Worth Working Here” job fair is back on Saturday, April 15. The job fair will be held at the Tarrant County College South Campus (5301 Campus Dr.) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, check the Citywide Job Fair page. 💼
Several national stores are preparing to close in Fort Worth. The Aldi grocery store at 7440 McCart Ave. in the far southwest part of the city is closing for good today. Big box retailer Tuesday Morning also announced that it’s closing four locations across the city. 🛒 (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

Smokestack 1948 — which first opened in 2020 — is rebranding as Rusty Nickel IceHouse. The restaurant will feature a new stage for music, a bar called Side Door, along with icehouse cocktails and beer. The hangout spot is expected to reopen in April at 2836 Stanley Ave. 🍸
Award
Fort Worth producer Taylor Sheridan was honored last week in Austin during the 2023 Texas Medal of Arts Awards. Taylor was among several local honorees including actor Luke Wilson and designer Lela Rose from Dallas. The biennial awards celebrate the power of the arts and honors Texas leaders. 🏆
