H-E-B is breaking ground in Fort Worth at Alliance Town Center

The day has finally come — H-E-B announced plans to open its first grocery store in Fort Worth at Alliance Town Center. Here’s what we know.
Construction will break ground on Wed., Nov. 16 at 3451 Heritage Trace Pkwy. — across the street from Kroger Marketplace and adjacent to Bluestem Park. It’s expected to open in 2024.
The Alliance location is the second that H-E-B has confirmed for Tarrant County. In August, it was announced that H-E-B will break ground on a 28-acre site in Mansfield at the corner of US 287 and Broad Street — about 20 minutes from downtown. Construction is expected to begin at the start of the new year.
If this sounds like déjà vu, you’re not wrong. Back in June, we reported that H-E-B was expanding to the Alliance Town Center., but Alliance developer Hillwood released a statement saying it “inadvertently” included H-E-B in its announcement about the development and that the grocer had not yet made any public announcements.
The Alliance location will be the fifth store planned for North Texas, adding to the eight that are already open. The San Antonio-based chain has also purchased four other pieces of land in Fort Worth, but there are no other confirmed stores for now.

Is love really blind in DFW? 💘
Netflix’s Love is Blind Season 3 is a Fort Worth-Dallas takeover
The final episode will air Wed., Nov. 9. | Photo screenshot from Netlix’s “Love is Blind” Season 3
The third season of Netflix’s reality hit show/social experiment “Love is Blind” is back, and this time, it’s a DFW takeover. We couldn’t help but notice the Dallas skyline used as b-roll in-between clips, so we’re doing a deep dive into this season’slocal cast.
If you’re not familiar with the show, here’s how the show works: 30 participants date in “pods” where they can only talk to each other through speakers — meaning they never get to see what the other person looks like.
After a reasonable amount of time — 10 days or so — the couples who think they found a potential match will get engaged and see each other for the first time. The couples will then be whisked off to their honeymoons before returning to DFW and back to their normal lives. After 30 days, those who found true love will be put to the ultimate test — marriage. Here’s a look at the couples who made it past the pods.
If you’re hoping to catch the cast out on the town, you’re out of luck. According to Variety, Season 3 was filmed immediately after Season 2 wrapped in the summer of 2021.
And in case you’re wondering — because we certainly were — the success rate of the show is just under 7% with a 50% divorce rate.
THE WRAP
Today’s issue was written by Rebecca.
Editor’s pick: Look y’all, I’m not particularly a fan of the “Bachelor” but there’s something about the chaos from “Love Is Blind” that I can’t get enough of. It’s a little cringey and over-produced, but I’ve found myself watching it for the past three seasons. I can honestly say the Texas takeover has been my favorite.
