A four-story apartment complex is coming to the Riverbend neighborhood — just north of the West Fork of the Trinity River. Toll Brothers Inc., and Equity Residential have partnered for the 362-unit project at 204 Athenia Dr. The companies are also developing two other complexes in the DFW area. 🏗️ (The Dallas Morning News)

A new wine bar is coming to Southlake Town Square (~25 miles from downtown). According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Arizona-based Postino WineCafe will open at 1440 Main St. next year. The menu features wine along with charcuterie boards, paninis, and desserts. 🍷
Closing
Music venue Main at South Side is closing after five years. The popular Southside venue will hold its final shows on Fri., Sept. 23 with performances from Royal Sons, North By North, and Summit Valley. Record label Dreamy Life Records and Music, housed inside the club, will also close. 🎵
Kids
The city’s parks and recreation department is launching a new sports program for elementary students. The after-school program will feature soccer, basketball, and flag football + is meant to bring affordable league options to local neighborhoods. Participating schools are still being determined. ⚽

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden’s four-week festival celebrating Hispanic heritage kicks off on Thurs., Sept. 15. ¡Celebramos! is packed with events ranging from a Quinceañera community celebration to an outdoor market featuring Hispanic artisan vendors and family-friendly activities. Data shows that airlines flew to 252 airports from DFW, two more than before the pandemic in 2019. Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott will miss the next several gamesdue to a hand injury. After Sunday night’s 19-3 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dak told reporters that he hurt his right hand after hitting it against a Bucs defender. Dak had surgery yesterday and is expected to be out six-eight weeks. 🏈 (WFAA)
