A recent report from the Farmer’s Almanac predicted a colder than normal winter in North Texas, so, we’re getting into the holiday spirit a little early. Grapevine — 25 min. drive from downtown — was declared the Christmas Capital of Texas in 2009 so we thought we’d see what all the jingle is about for the upcoming holiday season.

🍷 Christmas Wine Train, Fort Worth Stockyards Station + 705 S. Main St., Grapevine
Get in the holiday spirit with a festive adults-only (21+) train ride. A ticket includes hors d’oeuvres, two glasses of Texas wine, a souvenir glass, a DJ + Santa Clause. Pro tip: The wine excursion leaving from the Stockyards does not travel to Grapevine and vice versa.

⛸️ Ice Skating Rink, Historic Main Street
For the first time ever, visitors can skate on a 4,500-sqft outdoor ice rink located on Peace Plaza — in front of Grapevine Main Station. Take your holiday pictures with the massive holiday tree and larger-than-life ornaments.
