Grab a bite from over a dozen food trucks and enjoy a picnic on the lawn. Let the kids play in the park and water features, grab a blanket and catch a live concert on the green, or relax on the five acres of green space with a book.
Perot Museum of Nature and Science
Journey through the universe and explore the history of dinosaurs, robots, and diamonds with hands-on adventures. Featured exhibits include simulated earthquakes, the story of T. Boone Pickens, and testing your athletic abilities against Olympics athletes.
Work up your appetite with a stroll or bike ride on this 3.5-mile trail running through the Uptown and Oak Lawn neighborhoods. Cool down with more than a dozen brews on tap + food located right off the trail at Katy Trail Ice House.

Dallas Farmers Market
Nestled between skyscrapers is an open-air pavilion filled with vendors ranging from farmers, ranchers, food artisans, and crafters. Visitors can also shop at the 26,000-sqft food hall that is open every day and features four restaurants, specialty foods, coffee shops, and indoor seating.
State Fair of Texas
Bring your stretchy pants and indulge in deep-fried goodness from local food vendors adding a Texas-twist to their dishes. The fair runs Fri., Sept. 30-Sun., Oct. 23.
World Food Championships
Sink your teeth into some of the best food in the world during the ultimate foodie competition from Wed., Nov. 9-Sun., Nov. 13. Over 1,500 of the best chefs + home cooks will battle it out at Fair Park in hopes of being crowned top chef and taking home the $300,000 purse prize.
