How did this bar get from Texas to Canada?

Editor Elizabeth here. Last year, I had a friend who traveled to Vancouver, British Columbia, and visited The Liberty Distillery. He snagged this photo and sent it to me, saying “Hey, the bartender here just told me this front bar is from Weatherford. I think you should look into it.”

Immediately, I knew I had to start investigating. My sleuthing skills led me to the Director of Operations Lisa Simpson. “Hey Lisa, do you have any information about this bar?” I emailed.

“Yes, the front bar is circa 1895 and came from Weatherford, TX. It was 14 years ago when I found it after searching for hours and hours on the web. I stumbled across a lady’s website, took a leap of faith, and sent her my money. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the woman’s name,” Simpson replied.

Ahh — so the exact origin remains a mystery. Something tells me this story isn’t over. Got any tips? Let me know.
