Supporting the community
Jim White, the late radio host at 1080 KRLD, started the festival in support of local charities, like longtime partners the North Texas Food Bank and Lena Pope. Over the past 26 years, DFW Restaurant Week has raised nearly $11 million in charitable donations.
During the event, participating restaurants in the Fort Worth area will donate 20% of the proceeds to Lena Pope , a local nonprofit that helps Tarrant County kids in need.
Dallas-area restaurants will donate their 20% to the North Texas Food Bank
