$50 million. That’s the pricetag of renovations Fort Worth’s historic landmark will receive this year. And it’s just phase one of many projects slated for the center’s coliseum, auditorium, and tower.

Fort Worth’s Will Rogers Memorial Center is currently undergoing a $50.5 million makeover, just in time for its 90th birthday next year.

A renovation on the 120-acre multipurpose event center began in February and is slated for completion this November. The City of Fort Worth has contributed $45.5 million to the project, while the Stock Show will supplement the remaining $5 million.

Preserving the center

Soon, the Will Rogers Memorial Center may not look the same, but its 90-year legacy lives on in our hearts. We’re calling on our readers to share their favorite memory at Will Rogers for a chance at being featured in our daily newsletter. Was it your very first rodeo? Was it a lucky find at an antiques show? Was it seeing The Rolling Stones in 1978? We want to know.

And PS for those of you who are planners — the 2026 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo will run from Jan. 16 through Feb. 7, 2026.
