Kate Weiser Chocolate | 5182 Marathon Ave.

Stop by The Shops at Clearfork for chocolate that made the 2018 Oprah’s Favorite Things list — Kate Weiser Chocolate specializes in brightly colored bonbons that have thin chocolate shells and fillings like ganache, caramel + hazelnut-chocolate spread. There’s also candy bars, drinking chocolate, and chocolate-covered nuts.

Dude, Sweet Chocolate | Order online

Though the Fort Worth location closed in 2018, you can still order Dude, Sweet Chocolate online and in Dallas. There’s Crack in a Box — chocolate bark with candied hazelnut, almonds, macadamia and soy nut — plus bars like the Pebbles Chai, white chocolate with house garam masala chai. This Fort Worth-based chocolate + sweets maker creates custom orders of chocolate covered strawberries, hot chocolate bombs, dipped apples, and cheesecakes. You can also shop her online store for seasonal molds and supplies to make chocolates of your own.

Local Sumer Searcy created this shop after a fudge + toffee-making hobby turned into an expertise and passion. Try the shop’s classic toffee, dipped oreos + pretzels, or fudge in flavors like chocolate cherry amaretto, butter pecan, and caramel sea salt. Bonus — special dietary requests like gluten-free or nut-free can be accommodated.

Wild Toad Toffee Shop | Order online

Named for the horned frogs that used to abound in Fort Worth, this toffee shop has dark or milk chocolate pecan toffee and piece-sized toffee called wribbits. You might think Dr. Sue is simply a doctor of chocolate — but she’s also a practicing physician. Dr. Sue’s Chocolate specializes in cleaner, all-natural dark chocolate, for indulgences that don’t compromise wellness.
