The Syndicate Smokedown returns to the Stockyards on Saturday, April 15 with country music and mouthwatering food.

The barbecue competition will kick off at 11:30 a.m. with Texas’ top self-proclaimed pitmasters. Judges will select the top 10 winners in each category — spare ribs, chicken, and brisket — with the champion winning earnings from a $20,000 prize purse. Pitmasters have until tomorrow to register.

Aside from delicious eats, the outdoor festival will feature musical performances from the Josh Abbott Band, Kevin Fowler, The Randy Brown Show, and more.

The event will be held in the parking lot behind Riscky’s BAR-B-Q off East Exchange Avenue. Pro tip: Sign up for the Stockyards Heritage Club to receive a monthly code for free parking.

Ticket options include $175 VIP, $45 BBQ, and $35 general admission. Proceeds will benefit the Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate’s mission to provide scholarships to young livestock exhibitors.
