Local artist Shannon “Mud” Lowery creates jewelry made of sterling silver and gold detailed with turquoise stones. His designs have been worn by country music icons, like Miranda Lambert.
Kori Green jewelry features natural and eclectic pieces made for both women + men and is handcrafted here in Fort Worth. Fun fact: Kori is married to country music star Pat Green.
Opened in 1986, the women’s apparel store features country chic styles like cow-print sandals, embroidered western boots, and dresses fitted for the Texas heat.
Created by husband and wife duo Kala and Chance Morgan, the shop sells a variety of home goods + men’s, women’s, and kid’s clothing along with the couple’s own in-house label, Panther City Provisions.

The USS Fort Worth and four other littoral combat ships were saved from decommissioning. The House Appropriations Committee approved the provision in a wide-ranging defense spending bill last week. We’re flying into the future — DFW Airport is testing face-scanning technology to make travel plans even easier. Students at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth are now getting hands-on experience all from the classroom. The school held a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week to celebrate the opening of the first-ever immersive virtual reality simulation center in Texas.
The Regional Simulation Center uses cutting-edge technology, life-like simulation mannequins, and other virtual reality experiences to help students perfect and acquire new skills. The $6.75 million facility is also open for hospital residency programs + other training programs.
