A clear vision for Clearfork
A new vision for the Clearfork riverfront

Picture this: A tranquil riverfront that meets a future-focused urban community centered on outdoor recreation, retail, and health. That’s what the Clearfork Trailhead district could be soon.
Tryba Architects — who opened a Fort Worth office last spring at 312 Main St. — shared renderingsand updates for the Clearfork Trailhead master plan. According to its website, the vision will complement the existing mixed-used development and provide a unique way for tenants, residents, and visitors to connect with the agricultural heritage of the river’s edge.
Cassco — the development arm of the family-owned Edwards Ranch — will oversee the expansion. The company also developed the 270 acres of Clearfork and partnered with Simon Property Group to develop the booming retail business. Dallas-based KDC will manage the residential developments.

Bridging past and future
The project will connect The Shops at Clearfork to the Trinity River with bike trails, offices, residential, and mixed-use retail space. The master plan shows the site of a new hotel situated next to the Heart of the Ranch and a second hotel west of Press Cafe.
The designs also feature a new meeting space by Bennett Partners, that we now knowis calledKeith House. Construction has already started at 4814 Edwards Ranch Rd. — on the east side of Press Cafe — and is expected to wrap up mid-2023.
According to a December newsletter from Keith House, the space will be “designed as a modern-day meeting house and will be available to the community for gatherings and celebrations.”
“It will be anchored by significant works of art that we will announce early in the new year as details are finalized… We hope that Keith House will be a place where the people of Fort Worth and visitors can find unexpected meaning in art and nature.”

Editor’s pick: On Monday, I got to check out Truck Yard’snewest location in Alliance Town Center. The space is perfect for families as it features indoor and outdoor seating, lawn games, food trucks, a dog park, and a Ferris wheel. But the feature I can’t stop thinking about? The restrooms. Yep, you read that right.
My jaw was on the floor when I opened the door to the ladies room and it was decked out in Dolly Parton and Beyoncè decor.
Now the question that’s begging to be answered is — where are the most over-the-top restrooms in Fort Worth? I’m talking photo-worthy. Send us your recommendations and we’ll create the ultimate list.
