Get in, we’re going shopping. The Shops at Clearfork is getting ready for a busy holiday season with the addition of new retail shops, a tasting room + fall activities for the whole family. Here’s a look at what’s to come.
Katie Kime | The Austin-based fashion designer is opening a 2,500-sqft pop-up boutique with limited edition prints, bathrobes, and on-site embroidery. Pro tip: During the opening week, shoppers will receive complimentary embroidery.
Opening date: Fri., Sept. 30
Gucci | The luxury Italian fashion boutique spans 4,500 sqft and will showcase a wide collection of men’s and women’s shoes, handbags, luggage, and jewelry.
Opening date: Mon., Oct. 10
Psycho Bunny | The men’s clothing store will be 2,200 sqft and sell adults + kids-sized clothing including polos, pants, loungewear, and other streetwear.
Opening date: Fall 2023
Oak & Eden | The Texas whiskey brand is opening a new tasting room and bar. Oak & Eden is the first American whiskey maker to have its distilling process patented. Its newest whiskey — Wheat and Honey — will be released today, find a store near you.
Opening date: Spring 2023
Plank Seafood Provisions | The seafood restaurant will be an open-kitchen setup with a full raw bar and a wood-fired grill. Located next to Oak & Eden, Plank Seafood will serve environmentally-sourced ingredients from Maine to Massachusetts and the shores of Greece.
Opening date: First of the year
Fall Pumpkin Patch | It’s the perfect chance for a photo op — the pumpkin patch will feature 1,000 pumpkins, fall decor, a hay bale maze, and more. Find it at the intersection of Marathon and Gage Avenues and Apache Plume Road.
Opening date: Sat., Oct. 1
The Fort Worth Meeting House | Also coming to the area is a $4.5 million meeting space housed across the street from the shopping area at 4814 Edwards Ranch Rd. The 8,400-sqft facility will be designed by Bennett Partners.
Nature Hike | Thurs., Sept. 29 | 10-11:30 a.m. | Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, 9601 Fossil Ridge Rd. | $5 | Grab your hiking boots and enjoy the cooler weather with a nature walk.

Friday on the Green | Fri., Sept. 30 | 5 p.m. | Magnolia Green, Near Southside | Free | Bring a lawn chair for a night of live music and shop the 30+ vendors and food trucks.
Live Music on the Plaza | Fri., Sept. 30-Sun., Oct. 2 | 6-9 p.m. | Sundance Square Plaza | Free | Celebrate the cultures of Venezuela, Mexico, and Spain through music, food, and entertainment.

TCU Football | Sat., Oct. 1 | 11 a.m. | Amon G. Carter Stadium | $88+ | The 3-0 Horned Frogs will take on the 3-1 Oklahoma Sooners on their home turf.

The City Council extended the local disaster declaration from August’s storms through Tues., Oct. 25. The storms on Mon., Aug. 22 brought 10+ inches of rain to part of Fort Worth. The extension gives residents impacted by the storm more time to file an iSTAT Damage Survey.
Development
The downtown Sheraton hotel (1701 Commerce St.) is getting a $40 million revamp. The renovation — which was delayed in 2020 because of the pandemic — will include upgrades to guest rooms, public meeting spaces, and the addition of a new restaurant concept. It’s expected to wrap up in the fall of 2023. 🏨 (Fort Worth Report)
Closed
Local music venue Main at South Side (1002 S. Main St.) has officially closed its doors. The venue opened five years ago with weekly concerts from local artists. Managing partner Ryan Higgs saidthe pandemic had a major impact on the business. 🎤 (Fort Worth Report)
Traffic
Earlier this week, the City Council approved nearly $220,000 for a mobility study in the Stockyards. The Fort Worth Public Works Department will work with Kimley-Horn and Associates to study ADA accessibility, pedestrian safety, and on-street parking. Work will begin at the end of October. 🚗
Edu
Fort Worth ISD’s school board approved a contract that allows the district + parents to track school buses. The vote came after an incident where an elementary school busdropped off students in the wrong neighborhood. A bus tracking app is expected to roll out in the coming weeks. 🚍 (CBS DFW)
Civic
Mayor Mattie Parker will deliver the annual State of the City addressthis morning at Dickies Arena. Tickets are sold out, but you can watch a recording starting at 12 p.m. tomorrow. The mayor is expected to discuss the future of the city, growth, economic development + more. 🗣️
Travel
Cowtown was named a must-see place in 2023 by Travel Noire. The city was highlighted for the upcoming Juneteenth Museum and the anticipated African American Museum. Not to mention the award-winning barbecue from Panther City, Heim, and Goldee’s Barbecue. 🐮
