Firework displays
- Fort Worth’s Fourth | Panther Island Pavilion | Gates open at 5 p.m. + fireworks start around 9:30 p.m. | Enjoy the 15th annual event from the comfort of an inner tube in the Trinity River. Jam to live music from MetalShop and Party Machine, celebrate with kid-friendly activities, chow down with local food vendors + watch the largest fireworks show in North Texas.
- July 4th Celebration | Fort Worth Botanic Garden | 8:30 p.m. | Pack a picnic for the whole family and clap along to patriotic marches for the last evening of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra’s Concerts in the Garden + watch the music come to life with a fireworks display.
- Eagle Mountain Lake Fireworks | Fort Worth Boat Club and Lakeview Marina, 6600 E. Peden Rd. | 9 p.m. | Watch the sparkles reflect off the water at this dazzling show.
- North Tarrant County Family 4th Celebration | BISD Plaza, 6351 Boulevard 26, North Richland Hills | 9:30 p.m. | On the north side of town? Point your binoculars over the H-E-B area for some stunning pyrotechnics.

Fun Fact: A 2021 study from Compare The Market ranked Cowtown first among 30 US cities for the lowest light pollution, so the fireworks should be easily viewable in tonight’s clear skies.
Local guidelines
Did you know that larger fireworks explode at a diameter of 800+ feet (about the size of two Omni Hotel’s stacked on top of each other)? Pretty incredible — until they go off on your lawn. And with this summer’s lack of rain, we certainly don’t want that.
Tarrant County has issued a burn ban for unincorporated areas due to increased drought conditions. Shooting your own fireworks could result in a $500 fine. Fireworks are illegal in city limits + within 5,000 ft of city limits. Note: Multiple surrounding counties — including Parker, Dallas, and Johnson — have also prohibited fireworks this year. Celebrate some peace + quiet
Before you spend the night trying to lure your four-legged friend out from under the bed, you may want to get as far from the commotion as possible.
Your best option is a nearby state park, like Cedar Hill State Park or Lake Mineral Wells State Park. Pack some food and water and go stargazing, or even camping.
