Looking for a sweet way to spend the weekend? Head west to the Parker County Peach Festival, held in downtown historic Weatherford (~30 miles west) on Saturday, July 13 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Started in 1984 by the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce, the annual festival is overflowing with fruit-themed features. Get ready for:
- The world’s largest peach cobbler
- 200+ vendors ranging from arts and crafts to food
- Two entertainment stages with 15 performances
- Two children’s areas with games and rides
- Peach Pedal Bike Ride
- A “42" domino tournament
- Food competition featuring peach-themed recipes
Know before you go
- Tickets: $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 5-12
- Parking: Remote paring is available at Weatherford College, Weatherford ISD Ninth grade Center + Heritage Park. Bonus: Hop on one of the free air-conditioned shuttles to the festival.
- Stay cool: Stop by First Baptist Church to soak up the air-conditioning + keep an eye out for Hydration Sponsors handing out free water.
